Pi Alpha Phi colonizes at the University of Iowa

October 13th, 2011 On Sunday, October 9th, National President Gordon Wong swore in 13 men at the University of Iowa to become Pi Alpha Phi’s newest colony. This colonization is the result of 9 months of collaboration between Pi Alpha Phi, university officials, and these 13 men. The Founding Father class is comprised of: Anthony Dang , Xiang Fang, Xidong Feng, John Hartnett, Qian Hu, Paull Ly, Long Nguyen, Hakim Tatah, Tony Tran, Yile Wu, Wenchen Yang, LiYang Zhang, and Jiangbo Zhao Each of these men have impressed us through their work during the past Spring semester, their membership application, and through a formal interview process. This colony is now our third group in the Midwest and within the Big 10 Conference. Pi Alpha Phi is committed to our pillars of Academic Excellence, Leadership, Lifetime Brotherhood, Philanthropy, and Asian American Awareness. We have high hopes that our newest colony at the University of Iowa - Iowa City will continue the Fraternity’s tradition of excellence by truly exemplifying the values of this organization.
